International Justice Mission (IJM) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Director of Global Systems and Infrastructure in Washington DC, US.

IJM’s mission is to secure justice for victims of violent oppression depending on cutting-edge tactics in the field, which are made possible through the partnership and financial support of an engaged network.

Key Jobs Responsibilities

The Director of Global Systems and Infrastructure will perform the following functions-

  • Enable IJM staff globally to make efficient, secure use of technology in conducting the missions of IJM.
  • Advise the VP of GTS in the development of a scalable, effective infrastructure for the entire organization including overall wireless, WAN and LAN architecture, cloud and mobile technology, big data and disaster recovery.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of new technologies that can enhance IJM’s operational excellence. Communicate with the VP of GTS, the GTS team and other IJM leadership to identify and develop new technologies in support of IJM’s mission; and.
  • Assist managers and Field Office Directors in preparing cost projections for the technology and IS support required to achieve their program goals.
  • Develop and lead the team of HQ Engineers and Regional IS Support to carry out the support of IJM’s Global Systems and Infrastructure; and.
  • Develop and implement the systems necessary and provide organizational leadership for a 24×5 global support team.
  • Review overall support efficiency by looking at helpdesk tickets for patterns and trends and develop remediation, such as tools and training that eliminates systemic problems.
  • Develop use of Group Policy to manage the settings of all workstations in the IJM domain in a manner consistent with current corporate GTS policy.
  • Provide the daily monitoring, administration and maintenance of all facets of IJM’s Servers and networks including Windows Server 2008 R2 Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, vmware hosts.
  • Maintain current patch level and firmware on all servers and network equipment such as Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco Catalyst Switches and Riverbed Steelheads.
  • Implement a regular maintenance schedule for all HQ equipment such as servers, printers, and general use workstations.
  • Facilitate the ongoing maintenance of IJM’s global wide area network; and
  • Manage and maintain all of IJM’s cloud resources.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of security systems based on IJM’s Data Security Policy; and.
  • Oversee and provide daily monitoring, administration and maintenance of all IJM firewalls, VPN connectivity (remote access and site to site), and all other facets of network security.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have-

  • 2-3 weeks of travel to IJM Field Offices per year.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, and five to seven years of experience in systems administration; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides IT support in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Four years’ experience managing a team of five or more IT staff, including remote contingents.
  • Proven experience in managing system lifecycles.
  • Proven experience with project management, strategic planning and budgeting; and.
  • Operational and design proficiencies in Network Infrastructure, Microsoft Server 2008 and later, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Sharepoint, Vmware and Storage systems.
  • Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles’ Creed.
  • Ability and desire to work independently with administrative capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to effectively manage time according to changing priorities both self-discovered and as directed.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively engage with internal and external constituents and vendors; and.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
